Bourgogne Aligotè Clos Du Roy 2018 is a natural wine produced by Sylvain Pataille. Pataille is one of the most important names for the production of natural wines in Burgundy, processed with care and respect for the environment, without sulphites or other chemicals. This white wine is made from Aligotè grapes, the white grape variety most popular in Burgundy after Chardonnay, which come from the Clos du Roy in Chenôve, the northernmost place in the Marsannay appellation. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 270 meters with a fairly pronounced slope and south-east exposure.

Domaine Sylvian Pataille is located in Marsannay and has become a real reference in the field of natural viticulture in Burgundy. Sylvain has always been against the principles of standardised wine, seeking to obtain, through biodynamic methods, bottles that authentically reflect the terroir of origin. Sylvain's winemaking philosophy is entirely natural: indigenous yeasts, no chemicals and maximum fermentation temperatures of around 32°C. Winemaking is carried out in stainless steel and fibreglass before going into barrel, ageing is very slow and no sulphur is used. In this way Pataille gives life to authentic and pure wines.
