Trebbiano Spoletino "Vigna Vecchia" 2019 Collecapretta
"Vigna Vecchia" is one of the best Italian white wines produced by the Mattioli family's Collecapretta winery. It comes from 40 years old vines grown as espalier at over 600 meters of altitude in the Martani Mountains, in Umbria. Since it started producing wine, Collecapretta's intent is to synthesize in the bottle the unique terroir of the region, following the philosophy of natural wine, in the vineyard there are no chemical interventions, the cultivation follows the phases of the moon and the only help given to vines is the natural manure produced by the animals of the winery.
Trebbiano Spoletino "Vigna Vecchia" is produced with old autochthonous vines of Trebbiano, typical of southern Umbria, in the winery fermentation is spontaneous without temperature control, yeasts are not added except for those derived from grapes and from the winery, the wine produced is neither filtered nor clarified.
Collecapretta "Vigna Vecchia" has a golden yellow color in the glass, the nose denotes a rich and variegated bouquet with pithy and floral, herbaceous and mineral notes. In mouth is striking for its fluidity in drinking, with a full body, supported by a great acidity and a nice sapid finish.
It goes well with structured main courses.
